Accelerated Corrosion Testing

Oddy testing is a method used to check whether materials used in display cases, storage, packing, or mounts could release harmful chemicals that may damage museum and heritage objects. Small samples of the material are tested in controlled conditions to see whether they might cause corrosion or other unwanted change. This helps heritage professionals choose safer materials, reduce risks to collections, and create more stable environments for long-term preservation.

I offer Oddy testing services using my own equipment or yours. I can also assist you in setting up your own internal testing service.
