Colour Measurement

Colour measurement using a spectrophotometer provides objective, repeatable data about the colour of heritage objects and surfaces. It allows subtle colour differences and changes to be measured accurately over time, supporting condition assessment, treatment evaluation, and display monitoring. Used alongside microfading, it helps record what colour an object is now, while microfading helps assess how that colour may change in the future under light exposure.
I offer colour measurement services using my own equipment or yours. If you are looking to add this ability to monitor and measure colour in your collections, I can also manage the purchase, set up and operation of your own equipment with staff training. Training modules are tailored to the knowledge and needs of your team.
